1. Types of Submissions Accepted

CDLH accepts original and unpublished manuscripts in the following categories:

  • Research Articles (4000–8000 words)

  • Review Articles (3000–6000 words)

  • Case Comments (1500–3000 words)

  • Legislative / Policy Analyses (2000–5000 words)

  • Technical Notes / Essays (1500–3500 words)

  • Book Reviews (1000–2000 words)

2. Submission Requirements

2.1 Originality

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not submitted elsewhere.

  • Similarity must be ≤10% (excluding references).

2.2 Declaration & Copyright

Every submission must include:

  • Declaration of originality

  • Copyright agreement

  • Author contribution details

3. Manuscript Formatting

3.1 General Formatting

  • File Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Size: 12 pt (main text), 10 pt (footnotes)

  • Spacing: 1.5 (main text), single (footnotes)

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Alignment: Justified

  • Length: 4000–8000 words for research articles

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (4–6 words)

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review (optional)

  7. Research Objectives / Questions

  8. Methodology

  9. Analysis / Discussion

  11. Conclusion & Recommendations

  12. References

  13. Footnotes

4. Citation Style

  • CDLH follows Bluebook (21st Edition) for legal articles.

  • APA 7th Edition may be used for interdisciplinary works.

5. Ethical Compliance

Authors must comply with:

  • COPE standards

  • Accurate data reporting

  • No fabricated or falsified data

  • Proper acknowledgement of funding, conflicts of interest, and contributions

Ethical approval is required for any study involving human subjects or sensitive data.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted via email or the website submission portal along with:

  • Cover letter

  • Author profile

  • Statement of originality

  • Contact details

7. Review Process

  • Initial editorial screening (7–14 days)

  • Double-blind peer review (3–6 weeks)

  • Revision and resubmission

  • Final acceptance by Editor-in-Chief

8. Post-Acceptance

Authors must:

  • Submit revised manuscript

  • Approve the final proof

  • Ensure adherence to formatting and citation requirements
